Simchat Torah – Option 2

Wandering Minyan/Kol Halev Simchat Torah Celebration
We will pray the maariv evening service, and then have a special Torah service preceded by 7 circuits of dancing and singing with the Torah (called hakafot). During the Torah service itself (the only time we read the Torah in the evening), we will read the end of Deuteronomy, and then take a guided tour through the Torah back to the beginning, where we will read the first seven days of creation. It will be set up so everyone present will have an opportunity to have an aliyah (saying the blessings over the Torah reading). We will also honor two special Wandering Minyan community members with special aliyot for their dedication and work towards this community.
