Sunday School

Our Sunday School uses a curriculum developed by the Institute for Southern Jewish Life that is accessible, trans-denominational, and transformational.

Because of continuing pandemic-related concerns, our Sunday School for this year will include both Outdoor Socially-Distanced, and At-home options.

There will be monthly in-person outdoor meetings with activities for all ages that focus on a particular Jewish value and particular ideas from the Torah.

Students who do not attend the monthly meetings will be provided with materials adapted for at-home use that cover the same concepts that the monthly meetings focus on.

All students will also receive additional content to work on at home with their families (or  independently for older students).

Virtual small group or individual Hebrew lessons (for students 7 and up) and Bar Mitzvah preparation (for students 11 and up) will be available at no additional charge on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis either over Zoom or in-person and socially distanced.

There will also be regular opportunities to participate in Tikkun Olam (Repair of the World) projects.

There will be both in-person (socially distanced as needed) and virtual options for these projects.

All activities will be appropriate for the following age groups:

Ages 3-6 (must be accompanied by a parent or other adult at monthly meetings; will need an adult or older sibling help with in-home activities)

Ages 7-10 (optional Hebrew lessons available on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis)

Ages 11-14 (optional Hebrew lessons and/or B’nai Mitzvah preparation available on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis)
